Tabletop Simulator
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:11:06 am »
So, does anyone use Tabletop Simulator?  Some friends and I have recently discovered it and have been thoroughly addicted.  I have a fine few board/card games that I've collected over the years, and very rare is the opportunity for us to get together and actually play any of them.  Now, though, pretty much all of them have been modded into TTS and we can play them whenever the mood strikes us!  So far, we've played

Boss Monster
Villages
Muchkin Deluxe (The Base set only)
Risk
Dig Down Dwarf!
Fluxx
Zombies!!!

I really want to learn how to play Android:Netrunner.  I picked it up at DragonCon a couple years ago, and have yet to play it for lack of available participants.  If anyone wants to teach me how to play, or to play anything else, just add me on steam.

I own it, but don't really know anyone else to use it with. I quite like board games myself, and would be interested in learning how to play some new ones as well.

I own it, I purchased it when it entered early access on Steam. I conviced my friends to get it too, so far we didn't regret it. While we don't play huge roleplays like we first intended to, we have a lot of fun with smaller games. We play a lot of UNO and "Mensch ärger dich nicht". I often search the workshop for other games for quick sessions to play.

Do you mind to link the games you've mentioned? i would like to check them out.

Same here though I dont own it;  I've seen it, but there's just no point in me buying it.  Nobody I know would care.  As games go, they're too busy playing Generic Shooter #2305293475 or the latest JRPG, Grindy Cutscene Explosion.

Never get to do multiplayer stuffs that arent fighting games or Monster Hunter, really.  Board games in particular though.

I've created a collection here of everything I've played or thought interesting.  A couple things I mentioned were given DMCA takedowns, but there's plenty of awesome stuff on it.  Boss Monster is one of my favorites, but it's one that was removed.  It's getting a standalone PC release on Steam in the near future, so that's ok.  I'll definitely be getting that.

Yeah, that's a little the problem that I see with TTS. A lot of people put copyrighted games on the workshop without thinking about it. It may get the developers in trouble (or they will say "it's not our problem what the players create").
Thanks for the list anyway.

I think since it's user generated content, the developers of TTS don't have to worry about studios coming after them.  Most designers seem to not care, or figure it'll lead to additional sales since you can't play cardboard games online and can't play online games in person.
