So, in the end, all I got was:

Sanctum
Sanctum 2
Mass Effect Collection (this one was piracy compensation)
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
Plague Inc: Evolved
Democracy 3
The Witcher 2

Most of the things I thought were worth getting were also things I already had in my library. Which is just as well, given my huge backlog of unplayed games (actually downloading any of them would require more bandwidth, HDD space and effort than I can spare).

I got

XCOM: EW
Valkyria Chronicles
Roundabout
Transistor
Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
Euro Truck Simulator 2

and am considering buying Recettar: An Item Shop'S Tale because it's on a good sale this weekend. I also got DA:I on Origin.

I think this is my biggest draw from a Steam sale, ever.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

I also got Legend of heroes, trails in the sky. I started playing it, seems good so far. Reminds me of an updated grandia 2, graphically. The writing is good so far.

Seems to have been a popular purchase this time around. I've not started it yet, currently still working through Valkyria with a little Roundabout on the side. Probably gonna get to Trails later after I finish Transistor, whenever that may be.

Ok I ended up buying Wasteland 2 about 5 minutes before the sale was over. It was 50% off.

My haul on Steam:

Castle Crashers
Talisman: Digital Edition
Super Time Force Ultra
Magical Battle Festa

From GreenManGaming:
Talisman: Season Pass (cheaper than on Steam, while the base game was cheaper on Steam)
Skyrim - Legendary
Shadow of Mordor (best purchase of the sale)

I ended up getting Descent 3 on GOG. Pretty happy, but wished I had bought Descent II!

I'm so glad I bought Wasteland 2.. It's at least as good as Fallout 2! It's the best game I've bought after AI War. This is one of those games that you could play for a whole night. One of those games that gives you energy rather than draining it. It's 22:55 (10:55 pm) and I'd prefer not to go to sleep. I've got more missions to complete and new weapons to test!!

Good to hear. Can you compare it to XCOM? Is it the same kind of thing? Or maybe jagged edge? I picked this up, and I'm playing trails first to get my RPG fix, but I'm curious as to what kind of game this is going to be.

Yes in a sense that it's the combat is tactical and squad based and you do have to think about what you're doing. Positioning is important in combat.

I started on Ranger difficulty (the second hardest) on my first playtrough and it seems kind of easy so far. My second playtrough will be on Supreme Jerk (the hardest difficulty) and I already know how to tweak my characters so they're more effective. The character creating is quite in depth. Creating my team took about an hour or two.

13 hours into trails in the sky, only on chapter 2. Wow, is there a lot of story content here! So far, still liking the battle system and finding the lore/dialogue humorous. So much to explore.
