Endless Space is a dollar on Steam
« on: April 13, 2017, 10:05:39 PM »
At least in the states. Just stumbled upon it. Even for a mediocre 4X (from what I remember) a dollar's a dollar. Perhaps it is better then mediocre, who knows? Even if it occupies me for one night it paid for itself.

Just thought to share.
Life is short. Have fun.

It was not the among the best at launch, it improved a lot during its lifetime. The dev also made quite a lot of stupid decisions when communicating with their customers at first. Its "greatest" reported flaw however is that it's not a MoO2 clone: you can't control ships during battles, and ship design is simpler than MoO or GalCiv. Focus is more on the empire management part and choosing well your research and where to expand.

Don't go if you like to micromanage every component in a ship or to control every shot in a battle.

For an Euro I take and don't ask questions. If the game is not fun, I simply don't play it. I don't see why I should rant about a wasted euro here.

I bought it 2 weeks ago when I saw the deal, it's totally worth the money I think.
