Very glad to see this team stick together and work on another game. Nitronic Rush is a lot of fun for what its got and considering that it was made by students and for free, its impressive.

This Kickstarter isn't going fast enough. I'm actually quite nervous at this point :( This game HAVE to be made. Nitronic was freaking awesome, and Distance can't possibly be worse with all the new additions.

Never heard of Nitronic Rush either. But then again, the only racing game I've liked was road rash (ages ago on the genesis), and that was in large part for the fun in fighting - and likely equal parts nostalgia.

I was never a fan of racers after Need For Speed. Everything got so serious and "realistic". Nitronic Rush was a great throwback to arcade fun, which I still to this day love.

They just announced Split Screen and Linux support. Freaking awesome!

They're based on the Unity engine and they tried the Unity 4 Beta and are confident they can make it run flawlessly on Linux. That's pretty cool. The Kickstarter seems to be picking up a bit in pacing too.

Yes, nitronic rush is good. I'm not into racing games at all, but despite that played for a few hours. However now, when the game start, it asks you to download an update, but there is no freaking update, all it does is leads you to the Distance page, and you can't switch "you have an update" screen off, you see it every time you start no matter what.

I know advertisement is good for business, but less intrusive one would be appreciated.

Aye, that one buggers me a bit as well. A "don't show this again" would be appreciated. Then again, it's a fairly efficient way of reaching those that haven't heard of Distance.

It's really odd how slow this kickstarter is going. I was expecting after the raving reviews Nitronic Rush got and how many people absolutely loved the game, it's style and gameplay that this was going to get made in literally less than a week, yet it's struggling to get over 70% atm.

And it sucks. Badly. I really love NR and the guys who make it are awesome people. I really want them to succeed. Both for my sake (I get the game!) and for their sake (following through with their dream). I wish I was sitting on $50k that I could throw their way. Alas, I don't. But I'm considering upping my pledge from $50 to $100.
