There's mods which add loads of new enemies and Champion versions of all the existing enemies; and mods which give you access to all manner of pets.

There are also quite a few additional classes. I can personally recommend Lothario's Kensai class, which shifts the game more towards a tactical/action RPG by making pots do nothing (instead you have a healing ability which you must use outside of battle) and unifying your skill tree into a core mantra, which makes you much slower to move but much faster to attack.

Worth it for S.P.A.Z. alone.

SPAZ is awesome.  Torchlight is also a lot of fun; I didn't finish it but I definitely got my money's worth from what I did play.

Keith, dude, the final boss of Torchlight is awesome. That was probably the most fun I had during the game. Not guessing that you have the time to play through it exactly, but it's worth considering just for him.

A mod to play torchlight on a controller would have been awesome. They ported the game to XBLA, so should have been possible.

I think there was an HD texture pack on torchlight as well.

100% agreed Keith, and everyone else who reads this.

Can anyone recommend any Torchlight mods? Or is the game pretty much complete on its own?

I think that there is something called "RGF Hotspot" which is basically mod manager for torchlight, that can download mods you select oinline and install them. Although this does not answer you question I trust it can help.

It is RGF Hotspot. Just a couple transposed letters, though, no biggie.

Well, that's not bad. The Runic fansite isn't terribly fun or informative to browse, and every page you load is buried under 800 pixels of header stuff. So a mod browser's an improvement!
