Got orcs must die and star wars: battlefront 2 today.

Orcs must die seems fun, although simple compared to defense gird.

Battlefront 2 I had years ago for PS2. Still in love with the game. For 6 dollars, what star wars fan who likes fps can knock it?

Thinking of getting X3 Terran conflict. Anyone try it? I want to pilot a spaceship.

OMD! really clicked with me, in spite of it's TD roots. It was just plain fun, and the humor was great. So I liked it.

Don't think of it as a tower defense game. I mean it's kind of possible to play it that way, but it'll be kind of dull. It's better when you let the traps back up your attacks and enjoy frantically killing orcs with your weapons and spells. It's more of a horde mode with traps than a tower defense, though.

That might be why I like it. Never been a fan of pure TD.

Plants versus zombies is a lot of fun, and the ending is great. I wrote a computer program to play the minigame all day and all night without any input from me. Basically gave me infinite money to grow the tree and complete the game.

It's oustanding..... BUT (yeah, almost always a but, isn't there) It has an insane learning curve. There is SOOOOO much you can do, but the in-game tutorial only covers the most basic of ship movements and such.

If you can get past that, it really is a great game.

X3:TC is a game I've installed and uninstalled five times. I've given it 90 hours, and still I can't like it. I really want to like it, but I just can't :P

Broke down and bought it.

Can pilot ship easy enough.

But I'm trapped in the inner sol system. I can go to the moon, mercury, venus, and mars but I can't seem to find a gate to the outer system.
Life is short. Have fun.

If you are playing the campaign I think there's a few missions you need to do before you get access to a gate. Not sure.

Found it! The needed gate on Mars had was out of sensor range. I saw a stream of traffic and thought "Where are they coming from?" Then BAM there it was.

They should really just package this guy's youtube videos with the game. That's video 1 of I don't know 50 or something in a tutorial series that covers most everything you could ever want to know about X3. I've watched all of them and I have STILL not been able to get into X3. I have put 10x as much time into learning about the game than in actually playing it.

Edit: Oh and since you got X3 when it wasn't on daily special or flash sale, rest assured that it will be soon. And then you will be kicking yourself over the extra dollar you could have saved. Thus is the way of the Steam sale.

Probably, but 50% off is good enough for me.

Docked on my own for first time. So awesome.

AVWW is in the indie pack for today. Debating if I want to get it since the only game in it that I don't actually own already is Sword and Sorcery, and I have little interest in a tablet game. But I've been waiting so long for AVWW to actually be integrated into my Steam so it can start telling me how many hours I'm throwing at it.

Out of the front page sales:

AVWW obviously :P
Superbrother's Sword and Sworcery, I just did a review of it this week here: http://kingisaaclinksr.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/my-review-superbrothers-sword-and-sworcery-ep/
Sanctum: FPS Action Tower Defense Game. It's a fun game, one I haven't finished yet, quite difficult but it looks great for a TD game and the mechanics are very sound. Very sci-fi too.
Trine 2, though I haven't played it yet, Trine 1 was quite good and the visuals in Trine 2 are drop dead gorgeous from what little I played of the demo.

Trine 2 is once again tempting me...grrrr.
