Just got the Orcs must die :)

I also got a bit disappointed on Grimlock because of the arcade game model. I was hoping for something more in line with Demise - but highly position dependent combat with completely no shortcuts... it's not in my book I think.

Enjoy :)

Also, Orcs Must Die 2 is coming out later this month. With co-op. :D

OMD is great arcadey fun. Hopefully you get a kick out of it.

And sorry to hear that Grimrock isn't doing it for you. I think the trick is to go into it with the right mindset. Just bear in mind that it's real time and that you need to keep an eye out for beasties wherever you are. I find it adds a nice layer of creepy danger to the whole experience. The only place you can be moderately safe is in a room with a door that you can shut. And the combat isn't really too terribly action oriented. You quickly get into a pattern of finding a two tile wide area that you can strafe back and forth in, slapping the enemy each time. Most of the enemies can be dealt with that way, at least in the early levels.

I just picked up Tropico 4. I played it on the free weekend a couple months back, and I had fun with it, but had kind of forgotten about it. So when I saw it today for $7.50 I figured it was a good time to grab it.

I'm tempted, but it seems like such a small change from Tropico 3, which I've only ever put a few hours into. I can't quite justify it to myself. As unlikely as it is that I exhibit any self control in game purchasing, it does happen occasionally.

Also linking my profile again because King was the only person who even bothered to friend me, and he has only one game on his wish list: http://steamcommunity.com/id/bobthejanitor/

Edit: I mean I have 3 copies of Portal 1 in my inventory. I don't even know where I got them, but I sure wish someone would ask me for one!

Haha yeah, I haven't been looking through Steam's store much lately so I don't have much on that list right now :)

I pretty much never friend people on Steam that I don't know personally already. I don't really know why...

I can see that, but I didn't have 3 so that wasnt an issue for me.

I haven't gotten anything on the sale yet as I don't currently actually have a credit card...Might pick up one of those visa preloaded cards so I can buy some games I've wanted, like Tropico and some GSB race expansions.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

I'm not sure where on the planet you are, so this may be pointless, but Gamestop sells Steam gift cards now. I believe they have them in 20$ and 50$ flavors. I also heard they were doing some weird summer sale special trade in thing where you can trade in old i-devices for Steam cards. So if you have an old iPod or iPhone or whatever that you don't need any more, and live near a Gamestop, go wild. Also game trade-ins can go towards Steam cards.

Steam also has some kind of a wierd "Steam Credits" thing going atm. I bought some Tribes gold with that system lately as that seemed to be the only way.
