Am I crazy here?

I'm pretty sure this website was down for at least the past few months. I haven't been able to get on at all until today, not for a lack of trying... and then it suddenly pops back into existence. What happened?

We've been up the whole time   There may have been brief outages if the rackspace cloud was having issues, but nothing prolonged.

That's really weird.
For the first couple of weeks, I ended up refreshing like every 30 minutes to see if the site was back up, and I guess there was just some service that was not letting only me onto the website or something. Well, that's why I was gone. Because for a fairly long time I wasn't allowed to even come on to the website.
That's odd.

Edit: I even went to the blog. It was up, but hadn't gotten a single update since I was last able to check it. Now it's all up to date and everything.
Another oddity I've found when trying to make this edit was with that quick modify message button, it popped up an empty text box and that's it.

Clearly the AI intended for me to spend my time getting slaughtered by itself, rather than Giana Sisters, Valley 2, or other games that I happened to pick up in the absence.
What major updates have I missed for Valley 2 aside from the mouse control and the changing of the deep gates that caused my games to basically end when I revealed 3 or so of them on one turn.

...and Coppermantis, it's totally possible that I only ever checked when it was down.

I check it multiple times a day during the week.  Generally once or twice a day on the weekend.  I've noticed no outages at all in months.

Every once in a while i get an outage, it is always fixed in less then an hour.

Could be. I check in here most every day, so if you only come on every so often that could happen.

I think it started towards the end of January for me. I looked through the Valley 2 updates for the last patch notes I saw a thread for to tell, so it might be inaccurate.

I used to get the cloudflare "the site is down" page on a daily basis. Have not happened last few days though.

If the blogs were not updating as well... That is super strange! They are not in the same servers, not with the same service, and don't use cloudflare. That would seem to indicate some rather serious issue with your ISP or DNS service to me, since blogger is hosted by google and that's about as widespread as you get.

Regarding our site, it's definitely still been logging the usual traffic volumes (and growing), so I don't think this is something prevalent. The cloudflare message about the site being down is something that people were reporting they would get every so often a while back in particular, but usually just doing a refresh fixes that.

On service cloudflare does have is spammer blocking, which is why there has been such a drop in spam volume on the forums. It's possible that your IP was blacklisted by them, and then either that changed or your ip changed. If you have an ip that changes every month or so, that could very well be what it was... But that would not explain the blogs. Also, cloudflare is supposed to give you some sort of "challenge" screen if your ip is blacklisted from spam, not just seem down. So I'm not sure what is up there.

Well, cloudflare was telling me that your website wasn't being paid for or something, or it was down and the host was working on getting it back up. It was pretty generic in terms of messages, not very specific at all. I do remember there wasn't any kind of captcha or anything I could get by with. It just told me that I couldn't get on the website for the better part of a couple months. Eventually after a lot of refreshes, I decided, well... hopefully the financial situation hasn't gotten worse or anything and they haven't gotten to pay for website bandwidth, because that would be really bad. The only thing that really supported this was getting regular steam updates to Valley 2, so I was like... well... maybe they have to use steam to distribute updates now? So, I checked back occasionally and it still never let me back on the website until I made this thread. Maybe it was my IP (it's static) that got temporarily blacklisted. I never ended up reporting it so it probably went on for quite a while. That's the best that I can figure.

Now as far as the blog goes, I'm talking I looked for 'games by design', which was the fascinating blog I read a lot of the older AI War stuff from.

The last one is the soundcloud that I viewed ages ago, and it still shows that one... but your home page shows something completely different as the latest update to games by design.
...it appears that I am dumb and that isn't the latest post that you've made to that particular blog... so I think you have multiple blogs and I got confused.... because I remembered the name of your personal blog and kept trying to look there to find the patch notes! Silly me.

For what it's worth, I also couldn't access the arcen wiki during this time span, so I couldn't look up any AI War things or anything. All I remember is I wanted to look at the ship art, but I don't know why I didn't just look in my own game's files for that.
