Hi everyone,
Today, I finally felt comfortable enough to start sharing my review posts here on Arcen's forum (as well as other places). Yeah, I shared my AVWW and Tidalis review here in my signature. Plus, x4000 has been more than kind to link my reviews where appropriate and I thank him for that. But other than that, I've never been very vocal about what I do outside of gaming. But I figured now was as good as time as any to share.
I run my own blog, A Paladin Without A Crusade. Its generally, but not strictly, a technology & gaming blog where I like to rant about things like DRM and other shady practices but I also like to share what other people create as well as talk about things on my mind. I feel like now I'm starting to get into stride there. http://kingisaaclinksr.wordpress.com
I also started my own Let's Play series and just finished it recently on the Breath of Death VII: The Beginning game. With that series, I try my hand at voice acting as well as doing a regular YouTube series. That was a learning experience all of its own. I muse about Greenlight's 21 New Games that just got Greenlighted and about some of the experiences I've had with Greenlight. I also talk about what could be added to make it better. Which yeah, there is certainly a lot that could be added.

The snow in that post is playing tricks with my head!
It doesn't help that I didn't notice it at first and only caught it out of the corner of my eyes. Then had to stare a moment before realizing what it was.

My biggest annoyance with the snow is that when the snow goes off the side of the screen, the sideways scrollbar will show up for an instant and then disappear. This is highly distracting.

I can disable it if its that big of a distraction, its just something wordpress throws in to make the blog a little festive. It doesn't bother me much but if its bothering you, I can make it go away before the top 10 list for tomorrow.

That and the obscene amount of traffic such lists generate because people feel the need to rage over the X or Y game not being on said list. Because, hey, opinions!

Pretty much. I like making them so that's why. Its kind of sad, but the silver lining to the whole outrage made that Disappointing list one of my most popular posts this month. I'm now beginning to understand why people like drama....more traffic. =\. Egads, that's so sad now that I think about it.

Yeah, thanks Tigersfan...its been a rough couple of weeks dealing with, well, everything. Hence why I've been gone. But now I'm back.

Friend of mine and I are starting up a Co-Op series for Portal 2. We'll be tackling the main Co-Op campaign in the game as well as whatever puzzles catch our eye in the Steam workshop. I am not planning on doing the single player campaign at this time. This will go along with my series on Cthulhu Saves The World and I'm looking forward to doing both. I just tried "Breath of Death" yesterday, when I realized that it allows saving anywhere despite the roguelike look I was beyond happy. Also combat is quite streamlined yet interesting. I'll be playing more of that!

It's not really a roguelike, more of an old school RPG. Cthulhu Saves the World is about a 10x better game. I played it first, and afterwards wasn't able to play Breath of Death past a few levels, as much of the gameplay is so similar. I would almost recommend skipping Breath of Death and going straight to Cthulhu as well if you'll only play one of them.

I can't really comment on the differences between Cthulhu and Breath yet as I'm still at the beginning. But there are some nice updates in Cthulhu so far.

I haven't posted
here in this thread since March 31st. Ouch. And I haven't posted on my blog since mid April. Double ouch. The very basic version of why I've been gone is due to college obligations, some serious real-life stuff that I don't want to talk about right now and being just plain busy. Life just hasn't been the same since January... But I'm coming back soon and hopefully stronger than ever.
