Bloodline champions, a competetive PVP game made by gamers.
« on: August 01, 2011, 04:03:41 pm »
There is a TLDR version at the button.

So from all these wow arena, dota, hon and lol, comes a gmae developed by a small swedish group called stunlock studios (awesome name xD). What they say themselves about them is that they were some gamers who came up with a idea of a game. The game they developed is called bloodline champions.

This are some important features the game has:
-Kind of based on dota, hon and lol. If you have played any of those games you might understand the basics pretty fast. However I have NOT played those games and I still love bloodline champions.
-Totally skillbased. There is no random in this game. If your axe damage 14hp then thats what it do. There is no gear or lvl that can increase your stats, when you start off the game, you have the same "prerequisite" (unsure about that word o.O) as everyone else just less characters to choose from. You also have to aim everything including melee attacks, heals and aoes.
-Highly competetive. There are tournaments and a grade system which is supposed to determine your skilllevel. There's constant a ladder which you can play on with your friends.
-Teambased. The game is made for 3v3 arena, if you wanna play something else you can do that but unbalance may occur. :) This actually is a problem for new players who wanna play alone and get paired up against and with randoms that doesn't play that good. You better find yourself 2 teammates and create 3v3 team ofr the 3v3 ladder :).
-No 2hours game. Feels good to say that to the aiwar community...heh... anyhow stunlock studios simply wanted to get rid of those uneccesary long games. When I listen to my friends talking about HoN and LoL it's very often you get caught with a noob (or complete jerk) for 40min and you just wanna end that game. But if you leave you are you can be banned. Sometimes you can apperently lose a 40min long game because of ONE stupid mistake. So it's good for everyone that the games are shorter.
-Roundbased. You can lose one round for one mistake, but the next round everything will be reseted so unless you are really clumsy you'll have another chance to prove your skills. Suddendeath starts after 2 min into one round and first to 3 rounds won, wins the game; standard rules.
-Free to play. As already said noone which has paid for the game has any better stats than you but if in the begining you will have to play those characters that are free for the week. However, it rotates each week  so in if you play the game for a month you can try all characters before you either buy something with in-game cash or real money.
..and some more but thats the basics I can think of now.

The game obviously has some problems with inbalance, and number of players and such... But one of those problems I am trying to fix now by recruting you :D! And since you are from the arcen game's community the risk that you are a jerk which blames your teammates for each loss is pretty low.

Anyone who likes going competetive and likes PVP should give this game a chance. As I've already said, I haven't played any game like this before I started I only played FPS seriously, and I still love it.

This is my registration link http://www.bloodlinechampions.com/register.php?refid=1498432675, if you use it I will be rewarded a some in-game cash and a friend point. I don't really care about the cash I didn't make this post to earn it, I just wanna recruit anyway. You are free to contact me in-game if you WONDER ANYTHING that is accociatet with blc. I can help you with the basics and even more advanced than that in case you want. I can help you make replays and other stuff. But I would like if you post here hwat you firsts thought about the game was. :)

NO ONE LIKES MY FAVORITE GAME :(...with caps o.O

Not a fan of DOTA-genre style games.  Mostly because it feels more like work than actual fun.  I tried LoL for a short bit and it was interesting, but ultimately, more stress/hassle than I care to add to my gaming.

I'm sure its a good game, but not for me.

Hmm... interesting. I don't play RTS usually because I find them to stressfull. Thats why I am not good at ai war I believe xD.

But... I never played LoL or HoN but I still love blc but it is kind of stressy though.

Well, I also find that the communities of these hyper-intensive competitive games really drains on me.  I mean, just look at LoL...that community has a lot of "fun" stuff...
