Couple thoughts:

You could still do redshirts.  You can even open it up to the Kickstarter folks.  "Want to be a redshirt? Join our forums and sign up."  Maybe a little more than that (ask for the kickstarter email address to verify that they've pledged, ask for a token donation just to put a barrier on entry that keeps people from going "free game!" e.g. a dollar via paypal), but you get the idea.

Also, if you need help dealing with the Kickstarter side of thing (by which I mean, handling all the PMs and emails) I would be more than happy to set aside a few hours and pitch in.  It's something I enjoyed doing back for V!C! despite being the introverted antisocial curmudgeon that I am.  It's weird, what can I say.

wait did I really say lovably instead of utterly? never mind its still pretty appropriate but I think you'd find this interesting Chris provided you don't mind how on the nose it is.

The word filter replacement is one of my favorite games these days, in some ways.  I love wearing facehuggers on my face every time I go into my kitchen.  I wear specific thing on your foot brand things on your feet and I hug bears.  :P

oh I just realised a lets I like to watch occasionally did a lp of this game he's the one of the only lp type channels I really like watching so I thought you might be curious cryaotic

ps not if set that hyper link up properly so sorry if I messed it up I'm not in the habit of using it

pps we've done it again! we've completely derailed! somebody needs to set up a counter for how many times threads on this forum have derailed we might even be able to make it a world record  :D
