Fuel Depot question

If I successfully complete a fuel depot that is by a mission like a Lion's Den or Factory, when it blows that mission up does it hurt the robot army?

It otherwise kinda just seems like a waste of a mission unless it happens to be by a barricade and won't destroy anything you want, though I do understand that there's a few missions intended to be pointless unless you want something around them.

In a similar sense, I find myself staring at the map way too long to figure out what mission to do.

Some of the missions seem to have fairly obvious benefits, but I'm not really sure which ones I should be gunning for in most cases and which are really more or less just "obstacle" missions.

I wonder if they should be categorized and color coded.

I think it would be nice if the tooltip had a TL;DR-explain-to-as-if-I-were-a-child  note at the bottom that tells me exactly what the benefit of the mission does so I can quickly scan over them w/o having to parse through the description-text each time.

The fuel depot clears the other missions as if they didn't happen. So no,nothing happens if you blow up a lions den.

Tridus is correct.  Be careful when blowing those up if you want to complete those missions.  Axis (the default commander) can simply walk over them, others will have to go around.

One thing to note if you don't want to do any of those missions:  blowing up a Fuel Depot can greatly speed scouting progress, if it is right on the edge of your available missions.
