Science mission question
« on: October 12, 2013, 10:17:19 pm »
Sorry for all the questions. I finished a science mission, the description of which said, "capture some high quality computer parts." Well, all I got at the end was a blue Mark I Scanner of Guarding, which seemed pretty low-level. That's it? Was I wrong in thinking there would be more?

Only one Exo survived the mission. Did that negatively impact the outcome?

Thanks.

As the difficult descriptions say, you get extra loot at the end of missions based on how many exos you have standing at the end (usually one per exo, though I think the lowest difficulty level might have two?).

Near as I can tell, the type of mission influences what the loot is (computer parts, in this case) and rarity level (command centers give the best, heh).

The part you got did have an upgraded rarity level (green and white both being lower, iirc). The mark Foo level is mostly influenced by days passed... I think. And there's some randomization to it regardless.

Hope that helps, yeah.

On lower difficultyies (Casual and Easy) you get four pieces of loot at the end no matter what (except in Hostage Rescue scenarios, presumably); on higher difficulties it's one per surviving exo.

Frumple has the rest right :)

Thanks, those replies were a real help! I suspected it was one piece of loot per exo.
