Is anyone else experiencing a stutter every once in awhile? where you go to move around and the game freezes for a couple seconds? The reason I think it's the game and not my machine is everything was working fine before I updated, and it only happens when I'm moving or performing an action. Just sitting and doing nothing is perfectly smooth.

Just to clarify:

1) Does it happen while you're actually in motion, or between when you press the button and when you start moving?  Or just after you complete the motion?  I ask because any of the three is possible, and each points to a different possible set of causes.

2) If you:
- save
- do a particular set of actions (preferably something simple like moving down a hallway with no bots alerted)
- get the freeze
- reload
- do the same set of actions

Do you get the freeze again at the same moment?  If so that save and list of actions could be very helpful to us.  If not it's also helpful info in that it wasn't tied to a specific action or whatever.

3) Does it continue to happen if you disable the music?

Thanks for letting us know :)

And even if it's not particularly reproducible, a save where you're periodically having the problem could be helpful to us.

Oh, also: how frequent are these actually?  Like every 10 seconds, every minute, every 5 minutes, etc?

To hell with it, I posted the save file.

I rebooted, and it looks like it's going a little bit better now. I don't want to lead you on some wild chase, but I didn't not want to report it either, because it's pretty annoying. I will do more testing when I can, although I am occupied tonight.

My apologies.

Maybe somebody else can confirm or deny?

We certainly appreciate the report.  A thousand reports of stuttering and such from new customers right after release is a situation we would like to avoid.

I'll take a look at the save and video, thanks.

Ok, yea, I've got a solid repro that looks exactly like in the video.

All I had to do was zoom in and out like a maniac for a few minutes while listening to the music.  Then when it switched tracks there was like a 2 second skip in everything.

Will let Chris know, thanks.

I'm so glad you found it!

We had to resort to much black magic, and I think Keith and I both need blood pressure medication for a few days now, but it's fixed. :)

Yes, the various unity bugs encountered made me echo the game: "Whyyyyy was I programmed to feel pain?!"

I was more on the murderbot thought process, personally.
