OK, SONAR was a bad analog.  My point was I think it's some kind of Electro-Magnetic signal that the other Bots pick up and universally decide to go check it out, but it's range won't go any further than the Exo's sensors.  I presume it to actually be a part of the Exo's sensor suite.

Ok, so I have just started playing the alpha, and my first impressions are the game is really fun and I am particularly impressed with the narrative being READ to us, instead of simply having to read it.  Specifically in the beginning, but other sections as well.

I do have one question though, and maybe I missed it while playing (I admit I didn't read through all the text screens like I should), but are exo's you are NOT currently controlling supposed to blow up and disappear?  I realized when my health would get low on one (or I'd run low on ammo) I'd switch to another only to have one of the ones I wasn't currently controlling disappear.  When it first happened I thought I simply had the one I was controlling blow up and switch me to another.  When it happened the second time (in the same game) I knew for certain I hadn't been controlling it.

If this is by design, that's fine, just means I need to focus a bit more on the text before starting  :)

I just wasn't sure if this was a bug or a design decision.

Back to playing!

Oh and the intro music...fantastic!

I've only seen something like what Greywolf described once--I lost 2 bots to one attack.  I think it was a glitch with self-destruct, but, unfortunately, I don't have a save.
My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.

I always assumed it was something like:
Bot 1 kills Exo 1, Exo 2 spawns
Bot 2 kills Exo 2 in same turn

But I also think I've seen it happen to a single AoE attack...

There was a bug at one point that could cause mines to do that, but nothing is supposed to kill two exos in the same attack.

I think that's exactly what happened.  It appears to me that I have one exo (the one I was playing) destroyed, and a second destroyed in the same turn (due to either low health, a large explosion...whatever).

In my opinion I think only one exo should be destroyed per turn, but wasn't sure if this was an intended effect or not.

The log in the top left should have an explanation of what happened.

That was definitely a bug, and is now fixed!

Thanks!  Nice to know I won't lose half my exo's at one time... I need all the Exo's I can get  ;)
