bug or feature? second Continent with no seaport connect to settlement?

I have to land on a small island, search for a scroll to create a way let me travel back to the settlement...
I died lots of times in the storm, is there a way to fix this?

In the ESC menu, when you are on the map, there is a button there that says "Warp to Settlement". That will get you where you need to be. :)

I found it by myself, if there is no such option, it will be a really hardcore game..
