Is it normal to suddenly begin finding a lot of Small Chests with enchants?

So, I decided to go for the second lieutenant, whose lair happens to be located in grasslands (or grasslands with groves, I don't want to leave it to check). Anyway, there are these "rural storage buildings", and every room inside contains like 1-4 Small Chests and each of those contains a random enchant (including good stuff with a green bar). After exploring two such buildings I upgraded every slot, basically, some slots several times. It feels pretty broken.

By the way, I even accidentally found a small chest in a destroyed room (despite the game promising that there's never anything interesting there). I had to crouch to get to it, and do a weird teleporting thing with boxes to get back.

Sure, some places are much better for finding small enchants than others.  You're ok!

That's, like, _too much better_. I have to prevent myself from farming those buildings, because as it is, it completely breaks the rest of the mechanics for getting enchants, rendering them meaningless. I no longer care about collecting enchant canisters or destroying enchants (other than to free inventory space), because that gives me sucky enchants slowly, while here five minutes yield a couple of green enchants.

I guess what I'm asking is: did you guys accidentally mis-listed those Small Chests (with 100% chance of yielding an enchant) as a random dungeon doodad (appearing in Destroyed Rooms even!), or am I missing something currently and will discover that there are way better enchants while these enchants are not worth the time I spend farming them, when I progress further?

I doubt we mis-listed anything, but I can't really tell you for sure as it's been over a year since we were actively working on that game; I think it's unlikely that there is something of that nature that escaped over that period of time, though, as there have been so many players.  I can't speak to it very well, but something surviving for a year like that with so many players in the game strikes me as highly unlikely.

Those enchant containers give an enchant that scales better with the level of your continent. So while you can get plenty of good enchants early from grabbing them, the longer you leave them the better they will be for you (until the overlord there is dead). Also, there is a finite number of them per continent
