Health Displays

After the latest patch, my character's health is displayed above his head. How can I remove this?

It's always done this -- well, at least for the last 4ish months -- there's not presently a way to remove it.

I just noticed that it was the first time I exited the game with less than full health. Lol, although I feel stupid, I still wish there was a way to remove the display. It's not like I don't know how much health I have. Oh well.

Cheers -- no worries.  If it's a big thing we could add an option for that, but you'd be surprised how requested that was in beta.  We used to only have it down there in the corner, but all sorts of people kept dying because they didn't see how much they had left.  They were watching the enemies and their character, not their HUD; which makes a lot of sense to me.  Adding the health and mana bars above the head of the character really made all that clearer for everyone across the board, so it's seemed to be a really positive thing.

Indeed. When possible i think being able to choose when the health display appears would make sense. This is a small gripe from me, however. I think this game kicks total ass. Not sure how much I'll  play after Diablo 3 comes out, but I owe you guys a huge debt of gratitude. You see, I'm quite the alcoholic, and I decided to forgo drinking for a month. This was only made possible by have a plethora of quality games to play as a distraction.  Valley without wind fit the bill, and I'm eternally grateful to you for helping me meet my goals. :)

Wow, that's quite a feat -- congratulations to you, and keep it up!  That's a tough road for sure, and I'm really glad that our game was one of several that could help.

If you'd like to drop the health bar disabling idea into mantis (see my sig), that would be greatly appreciated!

There's a Mantis for that!
