So I heard that, "if you're offline for ~30 minutes and the players on the server defeat a lieutenant, your spells are suppose to be updated to the next tier so you don't fall too far behind."

I haven't been able to get this to happen yet for any of the players on my server, I think. So my question is, what exactly are the requirements? Here's the scenario encountered so far:

- Players defeat lieutenant.
- Another player logs on in less than 30 minutes, spells are not updated.
- Player stays around for an hour. Spells still not updated.

...AND...

- Players defeat lieutenant.
- All players log off, leaving server inactive for hours.
- Player who hasn't logged on since before the last lieutenant was defeated logs on.
- Spells not updated. Player stays around for over an hour. Spells still not updated.

Now I'm not ENTIRELY sure this is the case that the spell updating isn't working. Players have noticed SOME of their spells are a higher tier than they remember, but everyone's doing so many missions and crafting so much and has so many different spells they can't keep track of what tier all their spells are at. It's just as likely they updated them manually. And they're *sure* spells that they use often are still at a tier lower than the current continent level.

Maybe I should put in a suggestion for a way to manually update players on the servers that are behind a tier, just to be sure? As it DOES hurt to be left behind in this matter, especially if the server is using higher difficulty levels.

To clarify:

What level were your spellgems before you went away?
What level was the world before you went away?
What level was the world when you came back?

Thanks :)

1st instance: Tier 2, world was Level 2, player logs on to a Level 3 world

2nd instance: Tier 3, world was Level 3 when last logged off, came back to a Level 4 world

Both happened on the 1st continent (obviously). We're at the default difficulty settings so the world's level can only be upgraded by defeating a lieutenant or overlord, AFAIK (I've never seen it upgrade otherwise).

So you hadn't gotten any spellgems while the world was level 2?  If you had, those spellgems would have been level 3, so when you logged into a level 3 world those gems would already have been the same level as the world.

Ah sorry I meant my highest level spells were the highest level possible according to the continent's level (I forgot spells are +1 continent level). So in that case...

1st instance: Level 2 Spells from a Level 1 Continent, player logs on to a Level 2 Continent (one lieutenant defeated), no Level 3 spells in his inventory

2nd instance: Level 3 Spells from a Level 2 Continent, came back to Continent Level 3 (two lieutenants defeated), no Level 4 spells in his inventory
