Hello:

I have tried several wireless 360 pads, and every one moves left automatically if the stick is barely moved left and then allowed to recenter. (I'm using the left analog stick for control.) It only happens when moving LEFT, and not right.

I've tried 3 different pads, and have calibrated them all, so I believe this is a game issue.

Perhaps allowing for a dead zone may help?

This is extremely annoying and causes a huge heartache when trying to play.

Can anyone else verify this error?
Does anyone know a fix?

This does not happen in other applications; only in AVWW.

I also can verify that this is happening to me when I use my controller, same config (sticks for movement, seemingly left inclined).

omnithrope and I had worked this out on the Steam forums, actually.  There's a dead zone calibration that you can set up right in the game if need be.  With each axis configuration in the settings (such as for Left in this case), you can adjust the Axis Noise Canceliing to be whatever you need it to be.

With most new controllers the defaults are more than enough, but analog sticks wear with time and use; I know that as far back as the 90s with my N64 controllers I was always wearing the heck out of those things!  At any rate, if you turn up the noise canceling that increases the dead zone and you can tune it to match your specific controller.

Ah, thank you! "Axis Noise Cancelling" didn't really seem like the option (I was thinking sensitivity) so I didn't even bother to highlight it to read what it does.

Put it to max (0.75) and a few minutes of playing around, I could not reproduce the problem! ^^
