Having read update #4, it sounds like the Zenith game hasn't differentiated from the human game much yet.
The Zenith seem to be about the remnants of their past, so maybe their playstyle should focus on something to the effect of excavating and building "wonders", like the broken golems and the post-AS minor factions, and diplomacy with the other Zenith factions, like the Dyson Sphere, Traders, Miners, and Devourer.
