Hey all! This forum has been quiet as the pivot has been coming along so I thought I would draw attention to the wiki since it's been regularly updated with all sorts of new features. Huge shoutout to Badger for adding 3 more minor factions!!! Wow!!

Here's a couple ideas I had but I'm sure there is tons that could be done in this vein
Synergy of Minor Factions:To make games more dynamic by allowing certain minor factions have unique interactions.
Marauders/Astro Trains:Marauders produce special
“Bandit” units to conduct train robberies. They are melee range and will ignore everything else if a train is present. They siphon metal from trains in order to generate marauder threat/build expansions. The trains are reduced in metal thus making them to make more trips to complete depot projects.
Nanocaust/Macrophange:Interactions between certain specialized units of both factions can result in a
“hybrid” unit, switching allegiance to the stronger of the two. (So there would be two different hybrids, one a nanocaust version the other a macrophange unit). Hybrids are rarely formed but are super powerful—instead of dying they split into two smaller versions.
(Think of the Hybrid as an organic lifeform augmented with nanomachines)
