Logic behind AI Warden base placement might need a look.
« on: June 23, 2020, 09:25:26 pm »
Just starting a difficulty seven run and well... taking even the first planet in the chain adjacent to my starting location got me hammered with a warden fleet making it take nearly eight minutes to just clear the front door. Just seems odd that something as important as a Warden base would land in the immediate two hop pre-revealed systems. Especially with this sort of starting location.

The logic has remained basically unchanged for years now. Sometimes you just get unlucky.

Speaking of unlucky... the latest game has this interesting roadblock at the start of the game pretty much.

A pair of warden bases immediately next to each other with the second one having the added spice of a raid alarm on top. I do find it odd that Warden bases can spawn in immediately adjacent systems with no space between them though.
