Ahh...
I liked them as they were, but I am not sad that they are gone.

I loved the little tugs pulling golems back with them towards the repair facilities, it was quite amusing to watch!

It's part nostalgia and partly hating to see any of our previous forces disappear forever. They were fun for me, even if they could disrupt your plans at times.

You know, I could see tugs reappearing under a few limited circumstances:

1. If they had a job that nobody else could do (short of sending an engineer into the battlefield).

2. If the ships that they would be bringing back are things that "don't die," but just get stranded and useless.

Well, what a nifty batch of inspiration you started here, Salamander. :)  Let's see what you think: https://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,19122.0.html

 :D

AI War: Fleet Command is one of those games I go back to time and again, like Minecraft and Star Control 2 so being able to help in any way is great. I don't play it as much as I'd like with being busy with my own boardgame designs, Garden Warfare 2 quests and events and other things but its always there and always good.

Ooh, if you're releasing any boardgames on kickstarter or whartever do post links. :)

Ah...one of the few forums where posting KS links is encouraged.

Buh? What forums are you on that discourage them? Ignore I can see.

It's probably fewer that won't let you than do, but I've had a couple places be like "no advertising" and a mod removes it.

It's more common on forums for larger games, because people will shamelessly post all kinds of stuff there just to get eyeballs on their pet KS or whatever. It turns into a distracting problem due to the volume.

I even posted it as "I did this." and it was still "nope!" from the mods.  I then got vindictive and went through and reported to moderator five other advertisement posts that had escaped their notice.

I've had some playtests of a couple designs but nothing past the early prototype stage so far. I often attend a local design group to both get my own designs tested and to test others' designs but I tend to prefer more complex games than the general group.

The one game I converted from a tactical wargame to a more strategic area control game which simplified the mechanisms and allowed for the faction differences to be more obvious although I haven't converted all the old factions over yet.

I would love to get something on kickstarter some time but I have no idea if that will happen, I appreciate the interest regardless!

Speaking of, if you're anywhere near New Jersey, there's a convention in early November that is specifically to match game designers with playtesters.  I go every year as a player and see neat stuff.  If you ever get to a point where you're really really going to finish, you might want to take it to this con.

It's called Metatopia and is one of the 4 5 6? conventions run by Double Exposure.
