Loseing the Graphics

Running on Mac OSX 10.9.3
I was able to play the game once, and at the very end of my session (turn 46 or so of the tutorial) I got a few steam achivments by using some nortic Items (some chair and some stone tablet thing) when the steam achivment notifications popped up in the bottom of my screen the games graphics cut out. I stil had full audio and (from what hotkeys I could figure out) the game was still running.

I ahve tryed several times to play the game since then but when I get the "press shift + tab to acess steam community while playing" thing the gaphics cut out again, I cannont figure out any way to minimize the game with out it exiting (have tried the switch window swipe, opening task manager, minimize program hotkeys, show all program hotkeys)

I have attempted to
-restart steam
-verify steam cathc
-un install/ reinatall game
-attempt in various offline modes
-compleat restarty of my system

problem persists,
suggestiois?

I don't think you are in the right forum. This is the AI War 2 forum (currently in alpha). It has no achievements or tutorial yet, doesn't have turns and doesn't have chairs or stone tablets.
