But the sidebar is what people actually will see...

Well my sugestion is to prepare some huge updates or even prepare the next kickstarter campaign since taking so long to reach 10% is not really a reason to use an airhorn, especially when all the hardcore fans seem to have allready spent all their money.

There won't be another Kickstarter campaign. If this doesn't succeed, Arcen scales development waaaaaaaaay back until Chris has the funds to self-publish something larger. Not to be all doom-y, but this is it.

I know I have read that. The problem is only this is a bit like threatening fans...
I would much rather see "manipulative" community goals instead of having to rely on pressing as much money out of the hardcore fans as possible...

(I am sure they don't do this deliberately they are nice people, but this is exactly the way it is going... I mean the average kickstarter still is on about 43 doller (more than 2 time the worth of the game))

Considering the average level of crap the AAA market forces down our throat for $60 a pop?  I'd say the value of you dollar goes a lot farther herre than in EA's pockets :p   The average pledge is closer to $40.

The price of entry on reflection shows the classic game was a steal. Hence pledging above a AAA price was a no brainer.

Hmm.. at only 861 hours played in AI War, I think I'm behind the curve on this forum.   But yeah, the fun/cost analysis says I hope this gets funded.  (Not only because I want my new forum tag.)

Glad to hear! Just hang on until the problem's fixed.

By the way, we've added a "double key at release" tier for $40. Get us around the need for add-ons.

Probably doesn't have to be said, but the update's live!

Alien artifacts are going to be a lot of fun--they're sort of like nebula faction starbases with a Spire Archive bolted onto the side, from a gameplay perspective.

From a lore perspective they're going to be even more fun, the possibilities are endless!

10% in a day is fine, but it's got to continue this pace!

I got AI War back in July 2010, which makes it the 5th game game I ever owned on steam. Audiosurf, Counter-Strike, Red Orcestra and Half-Life were all in 2008, so it was really the first game on Steam I actually cared for lol.
