Just because you do not like to interact on social media does not mean others do not like it.
I won't deny that.

You never did respond to the concept art question.  I need something a bit more specific so I can ask if it exists.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I am sorry I Edited one of my posts with it and linked to the wikipedia page about it.
It does not have to be hand drawn, it just have to look good. This is an example of it: http://arcengames.com/ai-war-ii-art-diary-player-base-concept-work/

Most kickstarter post some of these (especially when they have good looking ones). (Although this one looks a bit too much comic style to fit the kickstarter page (it looks good just not fitting the kickstarter!))

Something like that would probably make a really good update!  I'll ask Blue if she has any more.

Ah i totally forget: It would be nice if the kickstarter video image (and facebook link image) could be changed to something less generic (and more amazing) looking! I don't really want to share that picture...

And we really need gifs out of the last video (where he showed the nice swarm ships!).

Also set the community goals realistic such that they can be done (and additional make them small things you could do but don't have to).

Community goals can also be about fanart or other ways to let the community be creative.
In my case, social media is my day job. Heck, I do social hacking. The issue is that we're asking for exactly what we need to make the game. There's no space for more game content that doesn't come out of some other part of the Kickstar--......

...Huh.

One second, I need to ask a question.

oh man no paypal option? can't even donate any money then, this is a complete bummer, didn't know kickstarter wouldn't have that option, so much for wanting to get into private alpha and helping the game along, this really bums me out.

I was amused until I saw it was a Culture reference. To keep ourselves out of trouble we're going to be a bit strict with name suggestions, so watch out.

Elon Musk already named his two drone landing platform ships after craft from the series.
The Of Course I Still Love You and the Just Read the Instructions were named in posthumous honor.

And as Cinth said, there's no context. In terms of copyright, it falls right into Fair Use.

Yeah, KS has never taken money via Paypal.  The campaigns that offer it are ones that have already cleared the "we're getting money from KS" threshold and don't have to worry about manually issuing (potentially hundreds) of refunds in the event of not meeting their goal (and if you think about it, $1000 on KS and $1000 on paypal does not meet a $1500 goal).

Some other kickstarters have set up additional payment methods (outside of kickstarter) for paypal. I am not sure if they can (or will) do this though.

@Captain Jack just be creative... You want to make X ship times anyway (and Y planet types) (And Z technology types). Just make some of them up and add them as community stretch goal (with appropriate name). If they are met nice, the community will now that they exist because of them. (Even when playing the game later).
If they dong get met (you failed since you set them wrongly), but you can make just other planet/ships/technology (names).

And if you do social hacking you should know how good social media can work used correctly.

Did a quick NeoGAF Thread about the Kickstarter here.

Would be nice if there were pictures or gifs to add to it.

EDIT: Also, sup. I'm back from the dead.

I notice there's a reddit post about the Kickstarter over at https://www.reddit.com/r/Games if anyone wants to join in the discussion.

Edit: And the post has just been removed because the user accidentally posted a referral link....dagnabit!

Edit: And it's back minus the referral link.

Been under the weather of late and haven't had the energy to follow this as much as I would have liked. :(

Still it made my day to see this - hence pledged.  :D
