AI War 2 v0.719 Released! "Do Not Feed The Turrets"

Release notes here!

When players keep telling us turrets are underwhelming, we buff them. This time the buff-o-matic was really cranked up. The AI isn't very happy about the result (despite having a few turrets of its own). There are also several other changes to make turrets work better (all waves launching in the AIWC style, AI ships no longer popping out some distance from the wormhole, etc). Are they still underwhelming? Let us know.

The headline for your forces often keeps switching between "your forces" and "enemy forces".

The headline for enemy forces often keeps switching between "enemy forces" and "you have no visibility" (even when you're on the planet).

In the constructor tab, there is often an extra line of turret-building buttons appearing between the lines of the fleet ship constructors.

(From previous version) Sometimes a planet becomes unselectable from the galaxy map. You cannot left-click on it anymore (to switch on the planet tab) or right-click to send your fleets there. After a while it becomes selectable again, then unselectable again etc., seemingly at random. Anything on that planet (fleets etc.) keeps behaving normally (or at least it looks like it, hard to say without being able to see the planet map).

I made a comment on the video, but I think the underside lights need to come up in brightness just a tad. I couldn't even tell there were there until Chris zoomed in and started talking about them.

The 0.720 hotfix is out now, and I'm not seeing that behavior anymore.

That will take longer to investigate. Are there any reliable steps for "forcing" this condition?

Going from patch notes Keith has been hard at work getting the game optimized, which is very good.

On my end, I am waiting to see what will happen on the defense front in terms of having more options rather then starter turrets. I feel that discussion has run its course so the next step is to put things "on the field" so new data can be collected. To prevent burn out I will wait until something is done.
