Seems really good to me: Superterminal is actually challenging, big waves can't be ignored, large fights don't take forever, and multi-hit weapons feel useful.
Status effects are still an "I win" button against stacked ships, but I have no idea how to improve that.

Stacks should split when they are hit by status effects; is that not enough of a response?

Edit: I would love some save games of a large AI force with lots of stacks being crushed by status effects (when they might be able to win w/o stacks)

I'll try to recreate the save in the next days, the original situation was a full cap of MK7 Warbird starships against superterminal waves: there probably were too many stacks for them to get split up, or maybe it's another bug related to fast forwarding.

If that's what it takes to cause problems I think I mgiht be more okay with it. That's (hopefully) a corner-case sort of problem.
