The Hero Ship

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSWBvL86EOE

After weeks of work, I present to you the Hero Ship, a gamepad (or numpad, if you lack a gamepad) controlled ship!
Not only does this allow you more direct control of a powerful warship, but it, in fact, converts the entire game into dual stick shooter! Think you can dodge all of those swarms of ai shooting at you?
Note that normal fleet combat is unchanged, your fleet and the ai fleets will still shoot locked shots at each other. Simply shots fired towards and from your Hero Ship are free-aimed. (And can hit friendly fleets even if they miss your Hero Ship.)

To Install

Extract the zip directly into your Ai War 2 folder. Leave the two dll files in the same directory as your main game's exe file. It requires these to work.

Great job! Now it's only a matter of time before we get a canned bread mod for this game.

Updated
You hear a ZUNpet in the distance.

This update brings some major changes.

The minor: Ship range nerfed by around half.
The useful: Whenever you issue a move command to your ship while on another planet, the camera will jump to it.

The Big: You can now dodge enemy shots.
Thats right, we're full Touhou now.
Any shot fired towards your hero ship is slowed down and travels in a straight line, allowing you to dodge it.
Be warned however, shots fired at your hero ship are given some additional range, so you can't simply kite backwards.
Furthermore, the AI is given some (rudimentary) aiming skills, so they'll attempt to fire where you're moving! How scary!

File updated on the main post.
