Custom Music

Is it possible to mod/add in custom music?
If not, is this planned?

Steam > Steamapps > common > AI War 2 > GameData > Configuration > Music

That'll show a file with a list of all the tracks ingame. Judging by the "filename" bit, that's basically pointing it to where the music is. Those bits are hidden I believe, so you can't grab the music out of it (but you can buy it - the game doesn't have all of them anyway).

Just make it point to a file of yours, and I imagine it'd work.

In order to put in custom music, at the moment you do have to wrap it in an asset bundle, first.  Which you can do via the modding and gui project, but has more steps than you probably want to go through in the short term.

Will custom music be easier in the future?

I'm not sure.  Probably, but it's not on my short-term roadmap. It's a performance and memory hog compared to music that is built in.

Humm. I was going to try to add in the rest of the tracks, but if it requires that kind of processing, nah.

Though...I've heard several times the Light of the Spire title theme, but it's not in that file.

Pretty much all of the tracks are in there, you just have to turn on the include classic music tracks.  I included about 90% of what was in the first game, but it's turned off by default in the settings.

I do have that enabled, and am hearing them. It's not a problem really, more a curious thing.

I missed this - didn't see in the options as it was last on list?? More people should be aware of this.
