Twitch Integration
« on: March 17, 2020, 02:02:36 am »
Lets your twitch viewers join your Ai War 2 games, and command little fleets around your galaxy.

Download Link (GDrive)

How to use
  • Download the mod, and extract it into your main Ai War 2 directory, merging with the already existing GameData and XMLMods folder.
  • Open up the newly copied Chatbot folder, and run AIWarTwitchBot.exe.
  • It will prompt you to enter in your twitch channel's name, and request you manually type !accept in your chat to enable it. (To prevent it from being used to spam unrelated streams.)
  • Once its connected, you should see a single message in your chat from hrftwitchbot.
  • Start up your game, enable the Twitch Integration subfaction (new games only) and your bot will report its connection around 10-15 seconds into the game.
  • And thats it. Users can now !join your game, !move their forces, and !retreat their forces to a friendly planet.
  • The bot supports being whispered any of these command as well (but cannot respond via whisper) in order to help cut down on clutter if desired. No functionality is lost either way.

Updated with some anti-flood protection, an additional !return commands, response message grouping, and a 30 second timeout upon a game ending where the bot will automatically disconnect.

Updated.

Viewer Posts are now Viewer Flagships. These are mobile and lead their forces into battle.
Flagships can mark up after getting large numbers of kills.
!target and !movebase have been replaced with !move.
!return has been removed.
!retreat has been added, and will have your forces run away until they make it to safe territory.

This sounds like a ton of fun.
