Fleet commander rank and title system

Something that might be fun for a game that is about an ongoing war would be if the player gained rank and/or achievement titles during a campaign for achievements (and/or titles gained) in the game. It could be based on how many planets you took, kill score, knowledge (science) gained, how much you unlock, etc.

A ranking system that looks like:

1) Fighter pilot
2) Pilot commander
3) Starship pilot
4) Starship commander
5) Fleet commander
6) Fleet Adm.

Achievement titles:
1) Murdoch Gov.
2) Resistance leader

These rankings and titles could be completely different depending on what you unlock or the campaigns. It would be simple and positive feedback to the player on their gameplay.

That could also tie with another idea on "collecting" feedback from "how the players played their game" I saw earlier on.

Allow players to upload their "achievement trophy case" for bragging rights, with "in-game achievements".

Steam already has a trophy case. AI war is in mine.

What I think we should be looking at as a community is low hanging fruit that:

1) is not an overhaul of AI war
2) relatively easy to implement
3) is a positive feedback loop for the player

This goes back to game theory and how to deliver the experience that gamers want. Having this kind of positive feedback that tells the personal story of the AI war that the player experiences, it's just the kind of thing we need. It's great for producing storylines, anecdotes, and rewarding the player.

What I was thinking of from reading the OP is a litteral trophy case "image" from stuff you'd have done in a single game, as part of the "ending" "you've won" or "you've lost" screen. You'd pass the mouse on the trophies for tool-tips with explanations.

No objections to that. I suggested a long time ago that you could actually unlock parts of the game by winning or achieving, but it wasn't very popular. However, having this tie into rank, or titles, or trophies that can be used as part of a profile or bragging rights, sounds fine to me.
