I think it looks better every time you update it, but in my opinion it would look best if you just returned to the way the ui used looked like in the first game, and then evolve from that, because i think the ui looks too childish with its big bright and colorful buttons.

There was an enormous amount of hate against the interface in the first game from a lot of people. It would also double (at least) the time frame to implement the interface. I'm glad that it's mostly an anesthetic thing on the interface, because I could do something like desaturate the icons, for instance.
That said, color is a really useful tool for catching the eye. And if the buttons are overly large on your screen, you can adjust the ui scale down in the settings; I'd be interested to know if that affects your opinion any.

Yea it gets a little bit better but it is nowhere near as good as the ui in the first game at conveying all the stats and its immunities and things like that, the first ui was simple and almost spartan in design, and fit the feel of the game

Are you concerned about the resource bar? The notifications? The window that appears when you mouseover a ships and shows you its stats? Or some combination thereof?
