Fleet Command really needs a lot of improvement

Currently it's just so hard to control all fleet around. I will recommend something like Stellaris, in which you can easily view all different fleets within and can control them move around in map and separate them easily.

Definitely open to the discussion.  I'd like to try to understand what it is you want to do that you can't, though.

The game doesn't really have a concept of "fleets" in a baked-in way.  You have ships that you put wherever, and you can temporarily group them with the control groups.  This makes for a far more loose concept compared to something like Stellaris; it is more akin to RTS games like Age of Empires or Supreme Commander.

We have toyed with the idea of getting rid of control groups and having numbered fleets that each have their own ship caps and internal management.  There are likely some downsides to that approach, but it wouldn't be super hard to do.  In some respects, managing a collection of random units that you can assign to groups temporarily is actually harder.

Let's say moving fleets from one planet to another.
This happen might because I don't know how to do it correctly, but currently when I am trying to move my fleets around, I have to move them to the next system by ctrl+right clicking on the wormhole. And then I need to move them to the next system by ctrl+right clicking on the corresponding wormhole again. That makes moving through multiple systems hard and tedious.
Another example would be ctrl+right clicking to move the fleet through the wormhole: it is a bit complicated. I want to simple move them across wormhole by right clicking on wormhole but find it impossible even if I change it in control settings.

You can select your fleet, go to the galaxy map and click on the planet you want your fleet to go to. You don't have to control it planet by planet.

Oh I see... yes, simply giving orders from the galaxy map is the way to do that.  Going planet by planet would be maddening, indeed!

And yes, there is no way to change the binding to just right-click to go into the wormholes with units.  The keybinding that is defined is a modifier that gets added with right-click, so you could make it Z+right-click instead of ctrl if you wanted to.  But trust me, you would never want it to be just right-click -- we had that in the original game about 10 years ago for a while, and it was chaos.  There is often fighting right on top of a wormhole, and we were sending our ships through to the other planet constantly.  It was chaos!

But by sending ships on the galaxy map, you just have to right click the planet you want and they're off to the races.  No need to hold any button.

Hope that helps!
