Z Paraylizer "Oddness" With Fortress

An odd issue is incurred when you attack a fortress with paralyzers. 

1. Sound of the fortress firing its missiles per click and the "shot hit" animation-ish that causes no damage,
2. Paralyzers may attack (but projectiles disappear when out of range).
I'd take a sea worm any time over a hundred emotionless spinning carriers.

This save includes both the Z Polarizer and Paraylizer issue--actually, I just noticed both of these units after reloading the save have the same issue... click on the fortress multiple times and both the sound for missile fire and the missiles themselves fire, but disappear.  Neither of the units attack, but the fortresses attack fine.
I'd take a sea worm any time over a hundred emotionless spinning carriers.

This is not a bug -- those two ships fire dark matter ammo, while the fortress fires counter-dark-matter flares, making it unhittable.  Hence the ships won't try to attack it on their own, etc, etc.  All is well!
