So I'm playing a game with a friend of mine (our first campaign in which we actually figured we understood the rules of this game, somewhat...)
We download the latest version just for the sake of being up to date, and suddenly we get some Warp Relay's being "built" in our front yard.
Ok, no stress, we read the patch notes to understand what these "warp relays" are and do.
Conclusion: we'd better hunt down these... structures?
Alas, no such structure exists... anywhere.
They've been built and completed on planets that are completely neutral, containing only a scout and a handful of OUR ships at this moment, but not a single "warp anything" is around.
We've been looking long and hard for these things, but they are simply not anything that exist on the maps... they just "are".
The patch notes suggested they were destructible, but it's hard to destroy what does not exist.
Point 2: it allows the AI to warp waves into a system within X + 1 hops...
The AI tech level is at 2 (II) at the moment, yet it's warping a wave into a system 6 (SIX!) hops away.
And that's absolute bare minimum it could possibly be, unless it THROWS these warp relays over the fence into our actual homeworlds.
Now, do I need to go back to my psychiatrist and tell him I finally have irrefutable proof I'm mentally retarded, or is something going on that shouldn't be going on?
