where there roaches out there trans-locating ur auto bombers or are they immune O:
AI War - even the smallest units can make all the difference no matter how weak they are still quite capable of taking the hits. if it can Kill and receive damage then it worth its time other wise if it cant kill and cant take the damage for the higher surviving ships then it is worthless.

no translocation was in play, besides, translocation doesnt send them far enough out that they are slowed

I have no idea what happened there.  Do you have a save where the bombs going from "sane position" to "insane position" can be reproduced?

its a function of network lag i believe - i dont think it will be reproducible without actually having a long network connection to work with.

I mean ill try, but I dont think its the save thats making the issue :\

He just means can you give him a save of that game so he can go through it and take a close look at exactly what happened  ;)

Well, no, I mean a save where I can load it up and see it happen ;)  If it's just a save after it happened, I have no way of knowing how.

I wouldn't expect network lag to have any impact on this, though.  AIW's networking model is very lock-step.

Well, this is the save where it happened/is kinda happening. Turn off the second player and go to saturn, and just watch as the autobombs fly off into nowhereland

I've been occasionally experiencing this with nanoswarms. A huge group of them will suddenly decide to head for deep space for a bit. They re often on auto-FRD due to the enclave producing them being on FRD...

I'll get a save next time it happens.

Any chance that's on a world with a military comm station and it's flinging ships coming from a nearby wormhole away with its translocating shots, and then they're getting vaporized by turrets before you notice them? It seems like every question about ships flying off in random directions that comes up, it's always the fault of that tricky mil-comm station.

Oh right, that was more directed at RogueThunder's post. I get lazy about quoting people since this forum generally moves at a pretty slow pace.

FRD in general seems to be having oddities. While for "normal" ships they don't fly off into the deep void of space, they do frequently "forget" to return to their FRD rally position after they are done attacking.

Yeah, I noticed this too. For me this especially seems to happen in Fallen spire campaign, although that might just be because I have to defend a lot more in the FS campaign so my FRD units go back and forth between the wormhole and rally point more.

I've had these sort of troubles when building autobombs with the space docks on FRD mode, for some reason, the autobombs fly off into a region where they normally would have reduced speed, but continue to go on with their normal speed.  However, once they attempt to change direction, they are suddenly affected by the speed slowing.

This happens especially when an enemy comes from outside the normally travelable bounds of the world (like marauders) and the autobombs immediately rush towards the marauders and are stuck.  The same happens with hive golem wasps.
