You did say your references are really really obscure though. I was expecting like, some b-movie from the 80s that 4 people watched ever or something.

I figured that the fact that it came from a lesser-known bug report from DF qualified as pretty obscure ;)

Ahh, point taken. Obscure by dwarf fortress standards.
I dunno, a fusion reactor infinite fire bug kind of sounds like it'd have been well known.
