I was going to say, I've seen many examples in my recent play sessions of Fortresses under mountains of shield guard posts, special command stations, asteroid cannons, and all other manner of nastiness. It happened so many times I realized it couldn't just be a coincidence. Our glorious leader programmed it like that...
"Inner peace is the void of expectation. It is the absence of our shared desperation to feel a certain way."

If it wasn't a Gravitic Command Station, I would say Spire Blade Spawners. Since it is, I suggest Ninezul Railpods and Mobile Space docks. Move the MSDs to the opposite side of the gravity well, and then turn them on. You weaponize your full economy and it does a terrifying level of damage to anything that isn't Sniper Immune, especially if you have MK I-III unlocked. Mark IV and V just make it even glorious. There is a reason I get at least one of those two ship types every game, if not both.

Use Mk II Railpods only, or Mk Is - the others aren't worth it.

Might be worth posting a link to this thread once Keith starts accepting nominations for "what needs a buff" ships, and again for the corresponding voting thread to give your reasoning for why one should vote for it. (Also, would apply to autobombs; might as well cover both under that thread)

I sincerely hope no one votes for Neinzul Rails because there are much worse ships out there some of which are.. dare I say.. straight-out garbage (in terms of stats that is).

Well... buck me... I did not know that. Math doesn't lie. Guess its only MK I and II from now on... Oh who am I kidding. I'll use them all anyway. I run at 300% econ. But yeah, Toranth's math stands firm.

Oh, I agree that Railpods aren't anywhere close to the Worst unit out there.  On the other hand, they have a easily identified problem with a straightforward solution.

Yeah, that'll do it for you :)

Combines lovingly with my Fallen Spire Empire too. >D I don't just beat the AI, I reconquer the galaxy. Because I know that it's still out there, in other galaxies, and I intend to send the AI a message.

Send an asteroid to the the AI 1 Home Command Station.
AI 1: "It's an old human message. It means AI 2 sleeps with the asteroids."

Cement overshoes lose some of their meaning in null-gee, but hey, it's the thought that counts :)
