AI War CPU Load
« on: May 04, 2012, 04:36:52 pm »
Just curious, does the host of the game have a higher CPU load than the rest of the players?  Or is the load distributed evenly among all the players?

Thanks

The host also runs the AI thread, so that's a significant additional CPU load :)

Out of curiosity, what happens if someone hosts a game, then another one of the players saves a game, then hosts it?  Does that make the player that saved it the host?

(In other words if player A) hosts and player B) saves, then player B) hosts, does the load go to player B)'s computer?)

Yes it does.

Whoever clicks 'New Game' or 'Load Save' when starting (or re-starting) the game is the host, everyone who clicks 'Connect' is a client.
