The health of the drones, or of the launcher?
The launcher should get the health nerf.

If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Plasma Collective Jet
Quote
This high cap ship sports a powerful short-range, single-target plasma weapon and the armor to close into range to use it. Although the long reload time often means only one shot, the Plasma Collective has another ability: Each time one of them is destroyed, it heals all allied Plasma Collective Jets in the same system.

Normal/Normal Stats:
Cap: 160
Health: 99,000
Armor: 100,000
Damage: 6,000
Reload: 8 seconds
Armor Piercing: 10,000
Speed: 84
Range: 3000
Hull: Swarmer
Ammo: Energy Bomb
Bonus: x5 Structural, x5 Turret, x5 Heavy, x5 Ultra-Heavy, x5 Polycrystal

Healing Mechanic:
When a PCJ dies, its heals an amount equal to its maximum health to allied PCJs in system, starting with the most damaged PCJ. It heals the most damaged PCJ to full or at least as much as possible, and then proceeds to the next-most-damaged if any healing remains.

I had one game where the AI unlocked Railcluster and somehow spawn so many of them that their's gun was not what bogged me down. Their "lack of cap" usage by the AI made it slow going to just clear out the guard posts. Image a X map with 50 railcluster as threatfleet.

The few time I have seen AI with TDL was easy to deal with. However AI having an OMD + 200 TDL in a single system hypothetically would be a gross can of worm to deal with. Lucky I have yet to see something bad as that. Actually scratch that I have seen few that came close.

Stealth fleet bonus ship can be very annoying because sometime they will end up in random position all over the map and you would have to manually direct your scout starship everywhere to just find one of them. Or in some rare case 5000 can sneak in during a threatfleet attack and turn idle. You don't want to wake them all at once which make clearing bit harder currently.

Nearly all of the long range such as zenith bombard, blade spawner, sniper, and sentinel frigate can be annoying. I usually go in treating them as a challenge instead of backing down.

So maybe the better question is is what can we use to fight low cap bonus ships or long range bonus ships? I am assuming no superweapon here.

Got logs for that?

We could use that to that to tell if there was a legitimate bug letting the AI get too many, or if the AI just decided to "specialize" in its new "toy" at the proper expense of its other stuff.

It was a fairly high AIP (about 600 I think) game and it was annoying because sometime I have to spent extra 20 mins just clearing those railclusters with my champion even for a solar system with just 2 to 4 guard posts each all mark 2 plus CPA + exo-waves. I think the AI was specializing into those due heavy spamming of close-combat hull on my side. I don't remember which one I was using.

Etherjets.  Man, I hate those guys.  That said, do NOT change them.  They are a love-to-hate thing.  :)  I can't hold a grudge against one of the few AI ships that has honestly outwitted me before (stupid raid engines...).

Also, although they are not bonus ships, the new Enclave Guardians seriously tempt me to reroll when the AI gets them as a first pick.  Early game pick means like every planet has 2-3 of them, and they are ~really~ annoying.  I think AI units that kite tend to get the most anger from players, honestly.  xD

Kiting is a very strong micro technique, so it's sort of jarring to see the AI do it because they normally don't for most units. ;)

Just looking for a list of bonus ship types that make you guys ragequit or whatever when the AI gets them.  I know some of you never back out for such a reason, and some of you would probably ban half of the types if you could, but I wanted to ask more directly.

Gravity Drains, but I don't ragequit :)  The AI just ALWAYS FREAKING UNLOCKS THEM FIRST.  Ahem.  They're not as bad post-gravity nerf but they still change the entire map of the game for me due to the AI's ability to slather ships everywhere.

I sometimes hate it when they get Infiltrators too (they're the shield ignoring ones right?), but really that's not a huge deal.

Oh my. That's a lot of zombards...

And to add something of actual value to thread; I can't, straight up, think of any bonus ship that aggrevates me more than any other. It's mostly just static buildings that do :P (Grav Drains, gah)

The only ship that I'll consider rerolling for is the Blade Spawner. Even then, only if the AI gets it to start with or early game.

Tackle Drone launchers and Blade spawners are the most annoying for me. Mostly because there isn't any way to kill them quickly or mitigate their damage. Maws, Stealth Battleships, Tractor Platforms, etc... I can all live with.

Btw, I have played through games with TDLs, but I find that they just force the playstyle of attacking exclusively with starships/superweapons and leaving all my fleet ships on defense. Which is annoying. Because when I'm attacking a defended AI planet, moving fleet ships away from my ball and keeping them away just makes them useless on the attack and eventually dead.
