But is it important at the galaxy map level?  Sure they make a difference in combat.  Everything the AI has does.  That doesn't mean it all needs to be on the intel report.  That's real should contain critical information only.  For example, say Keith turned off FF in intel without telling anyone.  Would it have any impact on your games at all before you noticed the change?  I just can't imagine someone going, "Gah, lost that game of AI Wars because the intel tab didn't show there was a Force Field in the system!"

I think that the most "elegant" way to show forcefields would probably be to show a little forcefield bubble in the intel screen around each object with a forcefield over it.

Not sure how best to show multiple forcefields or their levels, but if forcefield level is based on planet level, you might be able to get away with just showing multiple bubbles.

@Keith : Would it be doable to place the "forcefield" (blue bubble) effect on the overview ?
Interesting.  It would be possible, yes, but what should it do if there are 2x of a particular item on the planet, and one is under an FF, and the other is not?

From a strategic perspective, I think it should show it.

All solutions that can fix said post under shield should be able to be solved using said tactic not under shield.
Life is short. Have fun.
