Filters for these would be great, but at least the custom searches are much more effective now, displaying immobile units you've discovered even when you don't currently have visibility on their planets.

I'd like the objectives screen to tell me the types of broken golems rather then having to click through all of them.
Also already in the Mantis report  :)

Working on this currently.  Got a list of several great things to add, thanks.

I'm not sure I have the mental energy to slog through figuring out every little thing it should tell you about Fallen Spire, Champions, Showdown Devices, or figuring out what's meant by "all the new capturables".  Looking for fairly concrete line items here :)

That said, here's my list right now:

Amending existing objectives:
- show mark on zenith reserve one
- don't show the captive human settlement one
- show name of golem type on golem ones
- include Advanced Starship Constructors with the Advanced Factories


New Objectives:

Under "Acquire Alien Technology". add:
- add one for "if you know where an AI-controlled ZPG is, capture it"

Under "Capture Advanced Production Facilities", add:
- add one for "if you know where an AI-controlled Core Turret Controller is, capture it"

Under "Disrupt Enemy Operations", add:
- add one for "if Hybrids are on, and there are any Hybrid facilities left in the galaxy, but you don't know where any are, scout for them"
- add one for "if you know where any hybrid spawners are, kill them" (one per planet max)
- add one for "if you know where any hybrid faciltiies are, kill them" (one per planet max, with the spawner one being a special case of this one and overriding it)
- add one for "if there's a Super Hybrid, and you don't know where it is, find it"
- add one for "if you know where any Super Hybrids are, kill them"
- add one for "if there's a Dyson Antagonizer, and you don't know where it is, find it"
- add one for "if you know where any Dyson Antagonizers are, kill them"
- add one for "if there's a Dyson Converter, and you don't know where it is, find it"
- add one for "if you know where any Dyson Converters are, kill them"
- add one for "if you know where a Dire Guardian Lair is, and it's alerted, either un-alert it, destroy it, or be ready when it spawns something"

Add a new "Turn Minor Factions To Your Advantage" category, shown if any of these objectives are valid:
- add one for "if Spire Civilian Leaders are on, and you don't know where any are, and any are left, scout for them"
- add one for "if you know where an AI-controlled Spire Civilian Leader Outpost is, either kill it or liberate it"
- add one for "if Dyson Sphere is on, and you don't know where it is, and it hasn't been blown up, scout for it"
- add one for "if you know where the Dyson Sphere is, and it is AI-controlled, liberate it"
- add one for "if Dyson Sphere is Human-controlled, let it go"

Add a new "Enhance Your Champion(s)" category, shown if there are any champs in the game and any of these objectives are valid:
- add one for "if your champion is under level 3, kill guard posts and command stations to gain some early experience"
- add one for "if there's an untriggered nebula, explore it (when you're ready)"
- add one for "if there's an in-progress nebula, help your allies there"

Add a new "Fallen Spire Campaign" category, shown if FS is on and any of these objectives are valid:
- add one for "if there's a subspace signal that's not being scanned because it needs a survey ship to scan it, get a survey ship there"
- add one for "if there's a subspace signal scan in process, make sure it can finish"
- add one for "if there's a shard/refugee-ship on the map, escort it to a human homeworld"
- add one for "if you have the first shard on your homeworld, use it to build a subspace receiver"
- add one for "if you have the refugee ship on your homeworld, use it to build a refugee outpost"
- add one for "if you have the city shard on your homeworld, use it to build a spire colony ship"
- add one for "if there's a spire colony ship, build a city with it"
- add one for "if there's a level-1 spire city, and it cannot upgrade because there are neighboring AI warp gates, clear those out"
- add one for "if there's a level-1 spire city, and it cannot upgrade because it does not have a habitation center, build one there"
- add one for "if there are five spire cities, build a galactic capitol in one of them"
- add one for "if you have the final shard on your homeworld, use it to build the Exogalactic Transceiver"
- add one for "if the Transceiver is under construction or still charging up, defend it!"
- add one for "if the Transceiver has been built and fully activated, but AI home command stations remain, hold your own and/or assist the Imperial Spire until the AI has been destroyed"

Add a new "Showdown" category, shown if Showdown Devices are on and any of these objectives are valid:
- add one for "if you do not know where all four devices are, scout for them"
- add one for "if you know where all four devices are, capture them to start the showdown"
- add one for "if the showdown is in progress, good luck, because this objective screen is going to go hide!"


What else?

Edit: and, incidentally, I should go add "find the Super Hybrid" and "kill the Super Hybrid" to my above list.

Do Human Colony Rebellions get a line?  I can't remember.

"if your champion is under level 3, kill guard posts and command stations to gain some early experience" - ideally this would make it clear the Champ needs to be on the planet, but does not need to deliver the killing blow (possibly the mouseover text would be the best place for this detail)

"if Dyson Sphere is Human-controlled, let it go" - I get what you mean... Presumably the wording will need to refer to a "human-controlled planet" or similar, as you never really "control" the Dyson Sphere.

Looks good, can't see anything that's obviously missing. Loved the joke at the end :D

Might want to add something in the tooltip for shard/refugee ship objectives that says "don't move this off your homeworld or the chase waves will come again" (or better still, make them not do that to begin with ;))

Do Miner Golems get a line at present?

Out of curiosity, why? I realize it's not like these are as beneficial as most of the other things on the objectives list, but they aren't terribly detrimental for the player either, as long as you're willing and able to defend it. I also don't really feel that a Captive Settlement is really any better or worse for the player than a Distribution Node - one's a large short-term gain with a relatively low AIP cost and a chance of reducing your metal and crystal stocks, while the other provides about the same benefit over the course of two hours, although at a greater AIP cost since you need to take the planet but cannot hurt your economy (unless you count defenses you spend on the world with the Captive Settlement, but that's a highly variable cost).

Shouldn't this just be something like "run for your lives" or "find a deep, dark hole to hide in and hope the AI didn't bring its new flashlight cruisers"?

I don't think distribution nodes actually cost you AIP.
Keith, will your plans for the objectives list, say, individual fabricators and stuff? I'd like to see something like "Hey, this is a core missile turret controller" and click on it to jump to where it is and think, gosh, I want this planet. That's why I use the objective list. I click the objectives.

I believe it already does that for the fabs, including the core turret controllers.

 This is probably the wrnog place to put this, but it's almost the right place so: would it be possible to add sorting to the unit stats screens and also add a damage done column to them? They are super hard to navigate now since units are unsorted and they don't reflect the utility of most units since it shows things like attritioners getting 0 kills.

It's quite hard to come up with anything you may have missed.
Under "Disrupt Enemy Operations", what about "Take down Raid Engine", and "Find Raid Engine, if triggered but not spotted."

After stretching hard, that's the only worthwhile thing I can come up with.

There might be some value in "Take Down interplanetary munitions booster." but that doesn't trigger retaliation whenever the AI happens to be tractor-happy, so I'd probably skip it.

 Ug, knowing about the hybrid spawners is important but none of these other hybrid structures matter much in the game, and they fill that screen like crazy. No spam please!!
