Mini CPAs + mk3s 20mins in?

Ok I'm pretty sure we shouldn't have CPAs because the option was turned off on the lobby. Ontop of that the CPAs were of MK3 ships. I came across them barely 20mins in the game, cleared the first wave myself... however 2nd wave i realized wth? they are all mk3s?

We had plenty of Warp Gates open to our planets, so i don't see where the issue is.

Oh and after the first wave i cleared the planet of its cmd, and yet still CPAs.

CPA's unchecked in lobby, did a double check.
Warp gates open to friendly planets.

Unless Speed Racer and Fortress Baron have CPA ability, i'm at a loss.

Is it actually saying the words "Cross Planet Attack" at any point?  Or do you just mean over-normal-space attacks?

Do you have CPA-like waves on?

no we don't, but the behavior is CPA.

We have no options selected for CPA... and for them to send them to a ??? planet when a warp gate is connected to us is completely new to me. o.o;

As for the Mk3s, the waves consist of mk3s and thats about it. o.o;

The distinction between a CPA and "the behavior is CPA" is really critical in finding out what is going on.  By the way, a CPA-like wave is actually not a CPA proper since a CPA takes existing guard ships and releases them (thus actually reducing AI defenses), whereas a CPA-like wave just plonks down the wave-created-ships-out-of-thin-air on a planet some distance away from you rather than on one of your wormholes.

As for the Mk III stuff, that is weird.

we're still playing the game at the moment.

All the Baron's waves are MK3s and they go to ??? instead of our planets. then travel to our planets. Its easier to pick them off like this but rather annoying that they're mk3s.

I left you a save game save, of the game we're playing. Its really >.<!! lol...

Can't really get anywhere yet.

Also another thing seems to have occured during game play. o.o; i can't give mk3 reactors to Andon. >.>

Check your nearby planets, I believe that behavior is correct if you are next door to a raid engine.

Or was is the super-terminal?

I remember one of the structures with triggered waves giving off short count down waves like that, if the raid engine is in a Mk III system, that's why the waves would be Mk III.

hmm... really. I'll check for that, but I didn't see a Raid Engine I did triple checks in game for those and even those special guard posts that can possibly give that edge.

Guess I missed a planet. There is a raid engine on Baron's planet closer to us. I totally missed it.

Ya, they aren't a unit you forget about after that first time.

Way back when they were introduced I actually had one spawn adjacent to out homeworld so I'm somewhat aware of them.

I'm pretty sure they've since gotten the "can't spawn adjacent to homeworld" flag though.
