That's the more specific version of my statement, yes ;)

That particular balance issue is fixed for 3.181, though.  If they go uberswarm on you in that, I want to know about it ;)

Oh, for sure.

I'm actually having way too much fun getting horrendously squished first by the hybrids and now by the swarmers.

Looking forward to what will squish me next.  :D

Well, there's the Warp Jumper for a hard AI, and the preservation wardens for a minor faction (they're pretty light at first, but could get pretty tough if you get like 200-300 extractors, of course then you have the resources to fight them).  There's also a new easy and a new moderate AI but I don't think I broke them as much balance wise, though the moderate one (Neinzul Youngster) is likely to launch 800+ ship waves at you on double frequency.  So if you aren't used to handling youngling ships it could be interesting ;)

The roaming enclave minor faction is also capable of making things interesting, but it's more of a balanced one because some of them ally with you.

Agreed with OP , Turrets Should be able to Shoot at Astro Trains , or Every single Astro train that Comes By is Basically a "Screw you" package

The issue with having the turrets auto-attack is that they then might be stuck reloading when a more destructible threat comes through.  With most turrets this isn't a huge deal since the reload time isn't that long, but with lightning turrets or snipers or whatnot it can be a pain.

This sounds like a command node option/fix, or having only the fast turrets attack, or both

I find if i use a couple thousand ships I can knock off a few percentages (up to 40% one time), but this cuts back on offensive ventures and takes hours to get many trains killed even in a system with lots of train traffic

In general, the level of complaining is driving Developer-Progress up and we're considering launching a wave ;)

Counter-Dark Matter turrets are 1k knowledge for a huge protection range :)
