It's already received a sequel's worth of upgrades/improvements/refinements in free DLC
Tell me about it..
God knows this is a completely different game from what it was just 6 months ago let alone when it first launched.
If only other publishers would take the long view like arcen games has and the industry would enter a new golden age like back in the late 80's and early 90's when creativity trumped profitability as long as you could turn a reasonable profit.
I blame
this guy for lapping it all up which makes publishers go balls out for art content and brainless game mechanics at the expense of thoughtful gameplay with adaquate graphics. This is part of the reason why every clone of duty 'expansion' is full price. Artwork is the single largest cost for a modern game nowadays and AI War handily beat that with a 'retro' 2d sprite based look that is several orders of magnitude easier on devlopment budgets than a game full of uberdetailed 3d art. Basically a single motivated person can churn out the same level of quality content as an entire 3d arthouse so you can see the economy of scale in play here.
*sigh*
I sooo wish this game could get listed on a mainsteam media site and get the attention it rightly deserves from the milling herds.
yeah, I mad

Yes please. This could be a breakout feature if its robust enough to attract the guys I know who like to pass the time by expanding on a game to suit their own gameplay style. Also make the game moddable past replacing images. Not core gameplay mind just give us access to the graphics and possibly let us make our own ships to put into the game. That alone would expand your 'developer' base by several orders due to the plethora of game tinkerers out there who just like to dabble in game development even if they are by all rights first class talent.
