Just a question.. What in the name of god did you have on hand to fight all that. It must have been scary stuff.
Fallen Spire ships with 8 homeworlds is a beautiful thing.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

When the game starts needing carriers to contain the number of H/K-V's it's trying to send at you...

Then it's time to add a Hunter-Obliterator to the game. Or alternatively allow the AI to deploy nuclear warheads.

Terrifying as it is, it's a great illustration of what a great idea AIP is. How may other games both support "I want to build the mega-est army ever" and then give you a reason to use it?

Is it a bad idea to allow AI nukes to increase AI Progress because big explosions are "pretty freaking sweet"?

My CPU is heating up just looking at that picture...

That means I get to buy a new computer, right?

Lets not even think about the 336 Motherships....

The AI would not normally consider even the entire Milky Way galaxy worth the attention of a Mothership, but Cinth's Fallen Spire games appear to have caused...concern...

My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.

If I still have it, I'll through it up tomorrow.

Don't use my PC as a benchmark  :o I put 4 grand in it....

*gags*. That's way more than I would ever spend on a desktop. Though a laptop I could see. Reason being is I've felt that over 2 grand gives you diminshing returns on the hardware you buy. Yeah, sure you have a realllllllllly powerful setup, but current software only needs a certain level before it becomes superfluous. Just my opinion.

Anyway, I think I would cry if I saw that fleet coming for me. Both tears of joy and sadness for the crushing I'm about to receive xD

It was my first build so I went overboard  ;D

The most expensive piece in it is the Intel 980EE which when I bought it, was the best processor available.

Wow.

Please tell me you are going to overclock that setup?

One of the biggest reason for going that high end is the fact that you usually have more overclock potential from the higher quality parts.

Even my 920 I'm running at about a 15% overclock on the stock cooler, once I start needing more performance I'll spend a bit to upgrade the cooling and start seriously overclocking it.

Might even do another watercooling setup, it is more in upfront costs but it has a little more cooling potential then air and it does not sound like a jumbo jet getting ready for takeoff.

D.

I don't trust myself enough to not blow it up. so no, I haven't OCed. It's on a cheap self contained watercooling that I also don't trust that much :) . I build using upper end parts so the PC will usually last longer though PC gaming changes... This rig should last me a good decade or so :)

My last custom built was a dual processor (before dual core). That PC lasted a good 6 years, even after AGP died and dual core processors over took it.

OK. Here it is. The last save from the game that brought you that SS.

The last shard sits on Boatao. Build it and FS completes. The last unexplored planet is where I saw that mess above.

And fair warning, there are around 40,000 ships in game and that blows up to around 70,000 real quickly.
