The doctor prescribed pain

And a mighty dose of it.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I'm still having a good laugh at it. It was the AI homeworld I had yet to scout and I hit it exactly when an Exo launched :)

I just had to share.

........... Dear Lord have mercy.

What in the world did you do to get the AIP to 1k? :o  Taking 40 (say what? :o ) planets is only 800.

And a 64+ -hour game?

The mind... it boggles...

1. I was stunned.
2. I was horrified.
3. I said "What did you DO?!" over and over
4. I posted this.

...so um... Fallen Spire + Cinthy. That explains it.

This is the defence fund activating after endless FS exo-waves, I assume.

I also assume you died, horribly, if not from the fleet then from the shrapnel as your cpu exploded.

This warrants use of a smiley.

If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

I survived the H/Ks. Don't think the motherships left that HW though. I couldn't get a ship back down to the HW to see.

And just to add context, it is a 16 HW, 8 Champ game on a 120 planet map. Spirecraft and FS Exos and I do have 7 hubs up and running.

There are around 70k ships in game and it runs slloooowww (hence the +10).

And yes I do get some rather extreme things like this happening in my games ;)

...so um... Fallen Spire + Cinthy. That explains it.

When the game starts needing carriers to contain the number of H/K-V's it's trying to send at you...

First, OMGWTFBBQowowowowowowo.

Second: Just ow.

Having had a second to calm down, it is quite incredible how the game can scale up like that.

For comparison I play single-HW, non-FS and I think there is something like 30,000 ships total in the entire galaxy, with both mine and the AIs ships being counted.

You have 3 times that as threat alone, my mind just boggles at that.

* Diazo boggles some more for good measure.

D.

I survived the H/Ks.

Although I guess that this might be par for the course given the settings you described. Never beaten Fallen Spire so I wouldn't know.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.
