Thank you!
« on: December 05, 2012, 02:33:13 am »
Hello! I hope you are having an amazing day!

I just want to say THANK YOU.

I know you don't make a lot of money with this, not at all. And you just continue to improve the game after all this years. Speak with the players, not as a developer but as one more person in the community. And trying to make everything the best you can. I really appreciate that.

Thanks. :)

Thank you for the kind words :)

AIW makes decent money, particularly considering being about 3.5 years since the initial official release.  But yea, it's a niche strategy game so it's not flooding any swimming pools with gold coins, etc ;)

Do rich people do that?

I dunno. Mine is filled with silver coins atm; couldnt find a vendor with enough gold ones to fill one my size.

Now do a Scrooge McDuck and dive into the pool of coins. Let me know how that feels ;)

Scrooge McDuck doesn't swim through a pool of gold, gold move to his will.
Life is short. Have fun.

Yes, I've rarely seen a game (even non-indie's) with this much support for such a long time.

By the way, since profits were brought up, I'm curious now. Are there any known numbers how much you've guys made? Or if that's classified, the amount of copies sold? :)

Reminds me of some tidbit on D&D dragons and how many coins it would take to make a bed for them to lay on.

Turned out to be somewhere along the lines of "their loot value, as copper pieces."  And that was still only a modest three inches of depth.

I think that when it comes to metal coins, the "depth" has little meaning :P

You think that because you are a fox, instead of a dragon ;)

Small secret: to a critter as large as a dragon, gold is practically a tempurpedic foam.
